Adoption

I try not to get to personal on here,
because.... this is for sewing and fun stuff. Right?
Well, today that's different.
Sit down make yourself comfortable,
and read.

June 24, 2006 Quinn and I got married, a year to the date we met.

About 2 years later,
Kelsey joined our family.
The easiest pregnancy and delivery ever.
Kelsey grew and grew.
When Kelsey was almost 2, we started thinking about having another child.
After a year of nothing, we finally got serious, and went to doctors and had tests done,
blah blah blah test test test
blah test blah test.
It was hard. It is hard.

Now here we are 4 years later.
We discovered we have a 10% chance of getting pregnant again.
Here's were you come in.
We are excited for the chance to have another baby in our family through adoption.
We have a niece who is adopted and we love her and can't imagine our family without her.
We have cousins who are adoptive families.
Adoption is not something new to our family.
Please spread the word,
talk to others you may know who are looking for an adoptive family
Through this link
you can't find out so much about us.
Please go check it out and tell others about us!
Thanks!

Asymmetrical Help

Okay, ladies... I need your help.
I have been dying to make this skirt for awhile.

Chiffon + floral and stripes.
I love it! Lets be honest, I love the whole look.
I found some fun red fabric and had at it, but I am not sold on this yet.

I just threw the skirt on, with what I was wearing that day,
I don't think I would wear the skirt with converse.

I just don't know if it looks enough.....
"asymmetrical".
I don't want the skirt to look like I just hacked at it with a pair of scissors.
Which I kinda did.
Notice the edge isn't finished yet.

Tri-pod

Awhile ago,
my hubby and I splurged on a DSLR camera,
I talk about it here.
I know that post are pathetic!
The whole time I have had this camera,
a few months,
I really haven't needed a tri-pod.
But my hubby came home with this,
the other day.
He got it for free!
Yes, it might be old, but this is in AWESOME
shape.
Seriously, this guy probably never used it.
It still had all the plastic around it!
There is just 1 problem...
When they guy, Quinn,
got this from was putting back in the box,
after showing Quinn,
it broke!
I know! Sad!
Its just a little plastic piece,
but glue, just won't due.
Any ideas?

Coffee Table

So you might have noticed in the last post,
our coffee table.
We found it at a thrift store for $5.
Let me repeat, $5.00
Yep!
It's a pretty cool shape.
With two different pieces,
that fit together.
That have lots of shelves.
But I need your help.
The top.....
We have so many ideas,
chalkboard,
white and black swirl painting,
fabric,
and tile.
What do you think will be best?
Tell me what you think.

DI Frame

I know it seems there hasn't been much going on here lately.
But really I have been up to things,
and plan on telling you, soon!

Like this!
There is a story that goes with this frame,
and let me tell you,
it is pretty awesome.
We traveled up to Utah a few weekends ago,
for a wedding.
The wedding wasn't until late that night,
so we spent the day shopping,
and just goofing off.
Something we don't really get the chance to do very often.
On our shopping trip around
the Salt Lake area,
we ended up in West Jordan.
(At least, I think it was,
our navigation was sending us to some weird places)
I spotted a D.I. sign,
so we had to stop and check it out.
(Aren't thrift stores so much better
when they are not in your town?)
Well long story short,
I found this frame and bought it,
HELLO!
$3!?
Of course.
But sadly after much trial and error in the parking lot,
which probably looked super funny
to people passing by,
the stupid frame wouldnt' fit in our trunk!
So this is how it fit.
If you saw us driving down I-15,
yep that was us,
hope you got a good laugh.
But hello,
this huge frame!
$3.
Sorry honey,
couldn't pass this one up.
Look at those awesome details!
Not only will this look amazing in our house,
but an awesome prop for photography!
Didn't believe that it was $3,
here's the tag.
Yep.

Now I need your help to try and decide what color I should paint it.
It is plastic,
which means I am a little limited.
I am thinking:

These are Krylon Fusion for Plastic colors,
but maybe I could spray paint the frame white,
then choose a different color over top.
What do you think?
What color would you choose?
